This is a spectacular trip for a mystery book club. You’ll visit London, where Susan’s publishing house is located, and then tour the English countryside where you will see manors like Pye Hall. Though Saxby-on-Avon, the setting for Pye Hall and Dingle Dell, is a fictitious village, it has all the hallmarks of many real-life villages in the English countryside.
A motorcoach tour of England provides a relaxing sightseeing trip for a bookclub group. You don’t have to worry about transportation between locations, coordinating accommodations, and you get skip-the-line access to popular attractions that the general public may wait hours in line to see.
Coach tours allow a lot of free time at each destination too. Your group can plan book-related excursions, trips to independent booksellers, or meals together when not on the bus or planned attractions.
Here is what a tour based on the Susan Ryeland series could look like:
Day 1 – Arrive in London
Dinner with your book club followed by a ride in the London Eye.
Make sure to grab your Fast-Track tickets here ahead of time so you don’t wait in line.
Day 2 – Free time with your group in London

- where Sherlock and Watson first met

A great way to take in the sights with your group is to rent bicycles – either manual or electric. Reserve in advance and save!
